Old Business:
- Need to finish reviewing inventory – tabled (we can wait until Bobbie gets back for this, or not; either way is fine)
- Finished Goal #2, still need to finish Goal #3
- Tabled.
- Pass basket during district meetings? Motion by Zac – pass basket during district meetings. 2nd. Passes. Minority opinion heard. No one votes to re-vote. Laura asks us to all to ask our groups to contribute more money to the district.
- Rent amt to church? Asked for examples from other groups here ($50 a month seems like consensus for 4 meetings a month). Motion by Zac- $15 a month for rent, 2nd. Passes unanimously.
- Elections: Question – do you have to be a GSR to be voted into a position? The general consensus is no but the suggestion is to have some experience in the General Service Structure. We do have committees as well.
New Business:
- Officer elections
- Motion by Jon to table elections until October, Ellen 2nd – majority rules. Passed.
- Positions: DCM, Alternate DCM, Treasurer, Alt Treasurer, Secretary – starting commitment Jan 2024; 2 years sobriety suggestion. At least SOME experience as GSR in order to be DCM;
- Motion by Bobbie – close zoom account, after our next district meeting to be held on 10/16/23;
- 2nd by Erin; 4 yes, 2 no; majority rules; passed.
- Minority opinion: we will have better attendance if we have zoom, and if we had more people tonight to ask but only 1 person was trying to access zoom tonight and they never made it into the zoom link;
- Barb – use website for files instead of Google drive
- Bobbie will help with this transition after new secretary elected.
Close: Motion simple majority passed to close.
